It is a luxury development of Shang Properties, master planned and designed by Wong Tung International Ltd. in cooperation with local architectural firm Recio + Casas Architects. Completed and opened in 2009, The St. Francis Shangri-La Place was the first building in the world to feature a damping system, the same technology used to strengthen the Millennium Bridge in London, making it one of the safest buildings in the Philippines.
